Wx3270/Macro recorder

wx3270 includes a macro recorder facility. While active, it records each action passed to the b3270 back end.

Indication

When the macro recorder is active, the macros button flashes.

Invocation

The macro recorder can be invoked in one of three ways:

• On the macros window, there is a ⏺ Record button at the bottom.
• When creating a new host connection, the connection editor has a Connect+⏺ (Connect+Record) button at the bottom. This makes it simple to record a login macro for the host.
• The macro editor has a ⏺ Record button at the bottom.

Completion

Clicking on the macros button while it is flashing will stop the macro recorder.

If the macro recorder was invoked from the macros window, the macro editor window will pop up, allowing the recorded actions to be reviewed and edited, and the new macro to be named and saved.

If the macro recorder was invoked from the connection editor, that window will pop back up, with the recorded actions listed in the Login macro field. The actions can be edited by clicking on them.
